Getting started

The Bitnami Let's Chat Stack provides a one-click install solution for Let's Chat. Download installers and virtual machines, or run your own let's chat server in the cloud. Let’s Chat is a persistent messaging application that runs on Node.js and MongoDB. It’s designed to be easily deployable and fits well with small, intimate teams. We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us. Bitnami Let's Chat Stack Installers Bitnami native installers automate the setup of a Bitnami application stack on Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Each installer includes all of the software necessary to run out of the box (the stack). The process is simple; just download, click next-next-next and you are done!

If you're just getting started withRust and would like a more detailed walk-through, see ourgetting started page.

Windows considerations

On Windows, Rust additionally requires the C++ build tools for Visual Studio 2013 or later. The easiest way to acquire the build tools is by installing Microsoft Visual C++ Build Tools 2019 which provides just the Visual C++ build tools. Alternately, you can install Visual Studio 2019, Visual Studio 2017, Visual Studio 2015, or Visual Studio 2013 and during install select the “C++ tools.”

For further information about configuring Rust on Windows see the Windows-specific rustup documentation.

Toolchain management with rustup

Rust is installed and managed by the rustup tool. Rust has a 6-week rapid release process and supports a great number of platforms, so there are many builds of Rust available at any time. rustup manages these builds in a consistent way on every platform that Rust supports, enabling installation of Rust from the beta and nightly release channels as well as support for additional cross-compilation targets.

If you've installed rustup in the past, you can update your installation by running rustup update.

For more information see the rustup documentation.

Configuring the PATH environmentvariable

In the Rust development environment, all tools are installed to the ~/.cargo/bin%USERPROFILE%.cargobin directory, and this is where you will find the Rust toolchain, including rustc, cargo, and rustup.

Accordingly, it is customary for Rust developers to include this directory in their PATH environment variable. During installation rustup will attempt to configure the PATH. Because of differences between platforms, command shells, and bugs in rustup, the modifications to PATH may not take effect until the console is restarted, or the user is logged out, or it may not succeed at all.

If, after installation, running rustc --version in the console fails, this is the most likely reason.

Uninstall Rust

If at any point you would like to uninstall Rust, you can run rustup self uninstall. We'll miss you though!

MineChat is an app for iOS and Windows Phone that lets you connect to online and offline Minecraft servers on your mobile device. You can chat and send commands just as if you are using the Minecraft game. Send commands just as you do while playing Minecraft (/r, /ban, /kick etc). Now when you are away from home or your computer is having problems, you can always check in.

Moderators and server owners love this app. It allows them to keep and eye out for rule breakers and offer assistance to other players who need help. Use the handy “Alerts” feature to get notified when your name is seen or any other word you want to watch out for.

MineChat is available as free and paid versions. Our Features page explains the differences between the versions. Both versions are localized in several languages including German, Chinese, Spanish, Norwegian and Dutch. You can download MineChat via the Downloads menu on this site or search the App Store from your Apple device. You can always email us with any questions or if you need help from the Support page in the Settings tab in the app or the Team/Contact page on this website.

MineChat is completely secure, it uses a direct connection to Minecraft servers and does not use a proxy. It does not send any credentials or user information of any kind to any third party servers. It uses the exact same login method as the Minecraft game. MineChat transmits login credentials over SSL and uses encryption while transmitting game data. All settings including your user name and password are encrypted on the device. So even if your device is stolen, your credentials are safe.

This app is extremely useful, as an admin of a minecraft server I can now log on and solve problems that arise even when I don’t have access to my computer. It does exactly what I needed and even has some nice shortcuts, I definitely recommend buying this app! Also, it is quite nice to use with voice dictation.
