Reading and Language

ReeseWe are excited to continue working with the Pearson language arts series this year. The link is below. The students will be receiving a login and password to use the personalized site at home and at school. The common core standards that have been adopted in most of the states are included in the series. These standards are asking that the students read independently more, read more complex texts, and read more informational texts. There will be a major focus on the thought process while reading and connecting these thoughts to other parts of the student's lives.

Language Arts Worksheets

We will also be using the Accelerated Reader program. The students will be given individual goals and reading levels. They will read books at their level and take a computer test over the book to earn credit for reading that text.
